Q: How do I earn Diggit Dollars?
A:
Two ways:
1) If you’re a registered user, just tell your friends about us and earn $15 Diggit Dollars per friend when any of your referrals make their first purchase of $30 or more within 30 days of registering.
2) Receive an invitation from a friend, follow the link and join Diggit. You will instantly earn $15 towards your first purchase of $30 or more made within 30 days of your account being activated.

Q: Is there a limit to the number of friends I can invite?
A:
You can invite as many friends as you like! However, the limit to Diggit Dollars you can earn is $1,500 per month, and please - no spam.

Q: When do I get my Diggit Dollars?
A:
If you've  received an invitation from a friend, you get your Diggit Dollars as soon as you register and validate your account. If you've invited friends, you get your Diggit Dollars as soon as your newly registered friends make a purchase of at least $30 within 30 days.

Q: How do I know when I’ve earned Diggit Dollars as a result of my referrals?
A:
We send you an email letting you know that someone you referred has spent more than $30 on the site. You can also check your Diggit Dollar balance on your dashboard anytime.

Q: Ok, I have Diggit Dollars - now what?
A:
Go shopping! Once you are ready to ‘check-out’ and pay for your purchases, you will be given the opportunity to apply your Diggit Dollars.

Q: Are there any dollar increment restrictions with Diggit Dollars?
A:
Yes. Diggit Dollars can only be used in $5.00 increments.

Q: Are there any other restrictions with Diggit Dollars?
A:
Yes. Diggit Dollars can only be used on purchases of $30.00 or more, and the Diggit Dollars applied cannot exceed 80% of the value of the item (excluding tax). Using an item costing $53 (no tax) as an example, 80% of the total purchase is $42.40, so you could apply $40 Diggit Dollars towards this purchase.

Q: Why can I only apply Diggit Dollars to 80% of the purchase price on my item?
A:
Diggit Dollars are paid for by us - not the seller. We need to make sure there is some money left over from the transaction to cover the payment processing fees (sent to Stripe) and our user fees (paid to us by the seller) so we can keep reinvesting back into our community.

Q: What if I want to purchase from multiple sellers?
A:
When purchasing from multiple sellers, total dollars spent per seller must be a minimum of $10.00 (excluding tax) before Diggit Dollars can be applied.

Q: Do Diggit Dollars Expire?
A:
Yes. Diggit Dollars earned when you accept an invitation from a friend expire in 30 days. Diggit Dollars earned when your invited friends buy on Diggit within 30 days are valid for six months. Don’t worry, we provide a Dashboard showing all your activity, and we’ll remind you five days before any of your Diggit Dollars expire.

Q: Diggit is all about Shopping Locally, but some of the friends and family I’d like to refer live other places in Canada. Can they still participate in the Referral Program?
A:
Absolutely! Our sellers are happy to make shipping and delivery arrangements with their customers. We are also building sites across Canada so tell them to keep tuned in their own neighborhood.

Q: Can I still earn Diggit Dollars if my friend is already a Registered User on Diggit?
A:
That’s great news. You both share exceptional taste. Keep referring! (But no, you are not eligible to earn Diggit Dollars in this case.)

Q: I’ve invited a friend, but they signed up with a different email address than the one I sent the link to. Am I still eligible to earn Diggit Dollars?
A:
You bet. As long as your friend becomes a Registered User through clicking your referral link, you'll be eligible for Diggit Dollars even though he/she signs up with another email address.

Q: Can I return an item that I purchased using Diggit Dollars?
A:
No problem. If you use Diggit Dollars to purchase a returnable item, the Diggit Dollars will be reissued to you by the seller but must be used on a purchase from any of our Shops within 30 days.

Q: What if my friend returns their item purchased with Diggit Dollars. Do I lose my $15?
A:
No.

Q: Can I transfer my Diggit Dollars between Diggit accounts?
A:
No. Diggit Dollars are associated with one account and can not be transferred. But you’re welcome to Shop on behalf of someone you love! Remember, as a Registered User, you can refer anyone you know to Diggit, and they’ll be eligible to earn their own Diggit Dollars.

Q: How do I know my friend's privacy will be respected?
A:
Diggit takes privacy and security responsibilities very seriously - and we’ll do the same with your friends. For more information on how we handle your personal Information, see our Privacy Policy.

Q: Can I apply Diggit Dollars to anything listed for sale on Diggit?
A:
Diggit Dollars can be used towards the purchase of any item that displays an ‘Add to Basket' button on the ad. This includes all products and services in our Shops.

Q: Can I apply my Diggit Dollars to Ad Upgrades and Promoting my Ads?
A:
No. Diggit Dollars can only be applied towards purchases of items in our Shops and can’t be combined with any coupons, promotions, shipping, etc. But thanks for being such an active user. Q: I don’t buy much online, but I see a Shop on Diggit that I’m going to visit in person. Can I use my Diggit Dollars in the actual Shop?
A:
Diggit Dollars have no cash value by themselves; they are only deemed to have a notional cash value of 1 Diggit Dollar = $1 if they are used in connection with an eligible purchase on the Site. But make sure you let the Shop owner know that you spotted them on Diggit!

Q: I want to use my Diggit Dollars but I forgot my User Name & Password!
A:
That’s ok. Just go to “Sign In” and click the “Password Recovery Help”. We’ll send you an email with a reset link.

Q: I have questions that aren’t on this list. Is there someone I can talk to?
